AM I THE ONLY ONE?

Even if you are living under a rock, you know by now that Michael Jackson is dead. Am I the only one who is bothered by all this media coverage talking about how sad his death is. These are the same reporters who were ready to burn him at the stake four years ago when he was on trial for child molestation. Hello? Remember that? He was like public enemy number one. Now he is like Jesus himself. I just don't get it.

The man was a performer. I'll give him that. He was amazing, and I don't think we'll ever see another performer like Michael Jackson in my lifetime.

But I just find it so hypocritical that those who used to bash him, now gush about how much they love him. Give me a break.

I totally agree. One of our radio stations were talking about michaels whole life, good and bad. and listeners were getting mad because they kept bringing up the molestation case and all the bad things too. Just because he died doesnt mean that all of that just dissapears... kwim

I loved his music, but i didnt care for him as a person...

I've been thinking about this myself. I've always had a hard time believing he sexually molested those children. I think mostly the parents were out for money. But, I do agree that those who crucified him years ago are now defending him.

In all honesty, I feel sorry for the man.

No, you're not the only one, but people are driving me nuts about it! I was never a huge fan of MJ, but I do recognise the huge contribution he made to the music world blah blah blah, and I don't know as anyone bar those involved will ever know 'the truth' on the molestation charges etcetc, but as you said... the media has hung him out to dry, made his life miserable and embarrassing, added humility to insult. And now, when he has dropped dead, at such a 'young' age, he has become a hero? Hypocrites!
To be honest, as sad as I know it must be for MJ's people, and his never waivering fans.... I am saddened that Farrah Fawcett's death was somewhat overshadowed by MJ. Such a beautiful and brave woman who fought a long hard battle. MJ would probably barely have known what hit him, but FF had to fight that battle.

Stepping off my high horse now... but glad there is someone else in the world thinking along the same lines!

Oh goodness, K is on his computer now looking up all of the old court records. He got frustrated watching television while everyone is singing MJ's praises. We agree...
