Today is my grandma's 93rd birthday. She still lives in her own home. It's the same home she build with my grandfather before my dad was even born. (It's been remodeled and expanded, but she's still lived in the same spot since the 50's!)
She's less than five feet tall, and born on St. Patrick's Day. I've always thought of her as a little leprechaun. :)
I started this blog in 2008 after the stillbirth of my daughter. Now it's not just about loss, but about life.

Happy Birthday to Holli's Grandma! I work with the elderly and I just love the stories of people who are in their 90's and living in their own homes still~ Shows that she must be a really strong-willed woman!
Too cute! I work in hospice and a patient just had her 90th bday. She told me "I'm an old, white-haired woman now!". She didn't party like she was old! I had a patient once who was in her early 90's and LOVED to say up late and watch...Sex in the City!!! She was the coolest woman ever! She loved Aiden. :) Glad you have this special woman in your life.
